Leadership Potential Center

The Leadership Development Group has partnered with Scitrain, an international training technology company to provide a highly engaging and relevant learning experience, resulting in powerful, objective feedback for leadership development.

The Leadership Potential Center (LPC) represents a 21st century approach to Assessment Centers, which traditionally have used in-basket exercises and group dicussions to assess "soft" skills such as team-effectiveness and interpersonal skills. The LPC utilizes a fully dynamic simulation of a complex business environment to assess a broader range of leadership competencies, including strategic thinking, innovation, drive for results and change management.

At the core of the LPC is a computer-simulated business game, in which particpants are required to collaborate with others to make decisions and continually adjust their strategy to meet the demands of the business environment. Role plays, case studies and other exercises are thematically embedded in the game to extend the learning. Trained observers assess a broad range of competencies and provide individual feedback following the LPC.

Following the 3-day LPC experience, participants are assigned an LDG coach who works with the coachee over the following year to target relevant leadership development opportunities and leverage their learning through coaching.

Evaluation of the ROI for the LPC demonstrates that participants and their managers judge the experience as highly valid and beneficial, evoking strong motivation to improve and develop through action learning and self-reflection. The bottom line is this: The combination of the leadership simulation, comprehensive and objective feedback, a substantive development plan, and ongoing coaching results in more effective leadership of your organization.
